Got in from my run... 40 minutes ago.
Was a good run, no stitches occurred. woooooo.
My legs are a lot more sore though... I was changing out of my running clothes and I was stumbling all over the place... XD
I think that's because like, before I went out for half an hour or so? So I would have spent 5 minutes on a warm up and cool down. 25 minutes running/jogging and walking. This time was about 10 minutes longer. I think I'll just keep adding 10 minutes every time now until I've been running/jogging and walking for at least an hour. I dunno...
But yeah, watched some Big Bang Theory followed by a bit of Scrubs. Then I went back to WTKGTS (When The Kids Go To Sleep). If you don't know what this is, it's a podcast with Shaycarl and Katielette from the YouTubes. Shaycarl, Shaytards, Katielette and a numerous number of other channels and so forth.
It's a great podcast as well. I hope to be on twitter at the right time some time and be able to ask them a question. As to what I ask, I don't quite now....
I have tweeted Shay asking what he'd think of a UK branch of the company he helped create, Maker Studio. He never replied of course.... I think the day Shay and Stephen Fry reply to a tweet of mine, will be a freaking happy day for me!
Listening to Moab Is My Washpot as well. On and off really. It's Stephen Fry's first auto biography? maybe? I dunno if it's first, but it's one of them. I think it's mostly of his childhood? It's a good listen and very interesting.
But anywaysh! I was talking to Mr Dannybokko (Dan) about running when I got back in and remembered I wasn't signed on Windows Live Messenger. I think, if I can keep up with running at least 3 times a week until summer 2013, Dan and I should do a marathon. I highly doubt I'll manage to finish, or if I do, it'll be very slowly! Is there any rules for a marathon run? Like... Could I do the running technique that I use? Run/jog for 60-90 seconds, walk for 120? We could probably manage that easily enough!
But yeah, this idea is from Shay again. He's running a marathon in 48 or 49 days? I've forgotten what marathon it is. Anyways!
This summer, I want to be taking a few people to Alton Towers. Graham and Dan have never been on roller coasters. Sucks to be them!
So I'll be dragging Graham, Dan, Dan will probably drag Nicky, maybe Callum as well, and anyone else who wants to come, and I want to pick up Chrisseh in Newcastle on the way.
I need to have passed my driving test though... I think I'm the only one with access to a large car really. My mums old Vauxhal Zafira. It's currently unused, and because of that, the battery is dead again. But dad has stopped insuring it since no one drives it. So if I can pass my test and insure it, he may fix the battery. Then I can claim the car! Yaaay! I get to drive behind the wheel of my mums car. I cannot say how much it'd mean to be actually. For so many years I sat next to my mum while she drove. It'd be nice to be driving it myself.
Honestly, when it comes to cars, I want an Audi R8 V10. But that's like £150,000! But yeah, I think my cars in the future, they will mainly be Vauxhall or Audi because I grew up with them. I love those cars. Other cars don't really interest me...
Anyway! Yeah so I think, in my mum's Zafira, I'll drive for a bit, I'll have Callum with me so we can swap. Don't think either of us would have driven so far before so it'd be ideal to take breaks every so often. Probably have Dan and Nicky with me as well, save the 5th seat for Chris. The car does have 2 more seats in the very back, but with the luggage, we'd be lucky to fit a 6th person at all... If others were coming too like... Zoe and Yasmin for instance. Those two and Graham could be in Zoe's car, although it's small but there'd be 3 of them and they could put luggage in the Zafira. Graham finishes his test too so he and Zoe can swap around.
But yeah... I need a job first and blaaargh...
Which reminds me! I got a call randomly today from Brighthouse. They are basically a store like PC World only, they sell electrical goods and furniture! For poor people too! So like, payment once a week until it's fully paid? Something like that. So I have an interview at the Leith store on Friday at 12pm. I wonder how I can ask about the pay without sounding... I dunno... would it be rude to enquire about payment? Just like, is it commission only or something? Does it have a base pay and commission? So unlike that first job, I won't be left with nothing if I can't make a sale. Anything sounds good compared to that honestly... door to door, asking people if they want to subscribe to a monthly donation thing for the British Red Cross. Not easy... Particularly the walking! But yeah... I think I'll also go to Ocean Terminal on that day and the Gyle to pick up a sheet with any available jobs. Graham said that the like, main contact desk or something, give you a print off of all the available jobs in the place. Very handy. So I'll save £3.20 I think it is, to buy a day ticket so I can get a bus all over the place.
I think I may go sleep now... I still have a piece of pizza left but I don't think I can manage it at all. So I think I'll just go sleeps now. Hopefully I don't wake up Yasmin. I definitely won't wake up Graham. He's a far too heavy sleeper!
Good night!
"I just want to let you know, Good luck. We're all counting on you"
Heh, classic line. Airplane that's from I think. Also featured in one of the Star Wars spoofs Family Guy did.
NIGHTNIGHT
From things I have heard in School and just in general. I think it is considered rude to enquire about the pay during the interview or whatever.
ReplyDeleteI mean like, asking how the pay works. It's not rude, but it's wrong to go "How much you paying me for this?" The last job did say how much I'd be paid and how the pay worked. But I just want to know how the pay works. So as I said, I want to know if it's commission only, or if it's got a like, base pay. What ever it may be.
DeletePlus another thing I need to find out. Will I be able to leave around mid August. Since I'll hopefully be starting college again around then. Unless I can like go to part time from full time.
